All I need is television!

We’ve had a lot of company visiting us lately, which has left us no time for roaming the country, taking photos. We decided to change that yesterday, and we drove to Augusta, and up Benchmark. From there, we went across Beaver/Willow Creek to Gibson Dam.

The bears were out, eating chokecherries, and we saw several of them! Here’s one youngster, enjoying a tree recliner chair. He was very comfortable, and he totally enjoyed his lunch of berries!

Cowboy Gear

We attend the Ranch Rodeo in Choteau, Montana each year on the first week in September.  Ranch rodeo is fun, because you know some of the people participating, and the events are different than other rodeos.

This was a quiet moment between a cowboy and his horse…I liked the way it showed off this cowboy’s gear and his horse.

Buck Looking Back

We took friends with us on a photo shoot.  We filled the Yukon with a picnic lunch, our coats and our four bodies and off we went.  The sun was shining but the weather was cold and windy.  We drove west from Cascade, Montana to the top of the mountain, where we parked the car to eat lunch.  The wind howled around us and the car rocked.  It was fun to sit inside, filling our tummies and visiting, while we looked down on Square Butte and the surrounding countryside.

When we were full, we headed back down the mountain.  It was when we’d reached the flats that we found this deer.  He was right along the road, and he didn’t move off as we approached.  He seemed to pose for us, showing off his beautiful antlers with each turn of his head.

It was quite an awesome thing to spend this time with him and enjoy his presence.  I hope you enjoy seeing him also!

Near our house, there are ponds and land near the Sun River where the Canada Geese like to nest each year.  It’s delightful when the nesting geese return to become subjects for my camera.  As I spend hours sitting in my blind watching them, I learn how they spend their days.  On this day, I found this goose reaching out for a waltzing partner!  He was ready to dance.

This is why we artist types ask that you do not download our images to your computers or use them without our express permission.  It’s simply not nice to take something that belongs to someone else.  On the other hand, we’re mostly very nice people, and happy to work with you if you see a special need where you can use our work.  Just ask what the price would be and give us a chance to work with you!
